Leading Leaders – The Job of the Board President – Friday, November 19 at 10:30 am., at the Sheraton. For a portion of this all day session, Brian will present an interactive discussion with board presidents regarding the Open Meetings Act.

Forming Intergovernmental Agreements as Protection from TIF Districts – Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 pm in Hyatt-East Tower, Grand Hall Room L. Ares is presenting with Indian Prairie School District 204 Board members Justin Karubas and Mark Rising, along with CSBO Matt Shipley, in a panel discussion on how to work collaboratively and successfully with your municipality and stakeholders on economic development projects involving TIF districts.

Transparency Talk – Saturday, November 20 at 2:00 pm in Swissotel Hotel, Vevey Rooms 1-2. Brian, Nicki, and Emily will be providing Open Meetings Act, local records, and the Freedom of Information Act tips Jeopardy-style. Open meetings for 600, please!

Additionally, Amy Dickerson will be speaking at the Illinois Council of School Attorneys Annual Seminar on Friday, November 19 at 1:00 pm on Title IX, addressing key lessons that have been learned at school districts working to implement the 2020 Title IX regulations, and what changes await on the horizon from the OCR.
